Donations enhance student scholarship for both undergraduates and graduate students. These funds have been used for student assistance and merit awards as well as travel to conferences and scholastic competitions. The Friends Fund also enriches our sense of community by supporting symposia, conferences, visits by prominent scholars, public outreach, and events, such as our department graduation ceremony, to recognize student and faculty accomplishment.
