Sylvia Lake Finley Multi-Ethnic Library Fellowship

show description Add to my gifts
The Sylvia Lake Finely Multiethnic Fellowship provides fellowships for minority students in the Information School's master of library and information science (MLIS) program. The endowment was established in 1975 with funds raised by the School's alumni who were concerned about the small number of minority students enrolled in the MLIS program. In 1982 the Lake family made a substantial contribution to the fund, and the fellowship was renamed in memory of their daughter, Sylvia Lake Finley ('74).
