Design Build Fly Club

show description Add to my gifts
Each year UW students participate in the AIAA Design, Build, Fly (DBF) competition. The contest provides a real-world aircraft design experience for engineering students by giving them the opportunity to validate their analytic studies. Student teams design, fabricate, and demonstrate the flight capabilities of an unmanned, electric powered, radio controlled aircraft that can best meet the specified mission profile. DBF is a sponsored activity within the William E. Boeing Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics and is open to all students at the University of Washington. This gift fund will support this student activity to purchase materials and services associated with the development and fabrication of DBF aircraft and to support student travel to the annual DBF competition.

If you'd like to see areas of the UW that you've supported in the past and any open pledges that you may have, please fill in your Donor ID and last name.

This is not required for you to make a gift. If you don't know your Donor ID, you may skip this and search for an area to support.
