Henry K. Benson Scholarship Endowment in Chemical Engineering

Benson (1877-1954) founded the Department in 1904 through his introduction of courses in the new field of Chemical Engineering. He served as Head of Chemistry beginning in 1919 and Chief Executive Officer of the dual Departments of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from 1925 to 1947.
